The Mauritius Turf Club operates training facilities from the track – the Champ de Mars training centre (160 horses) and the Guy Desmarais training facility. Horses come from France, the United Kingdom and Australia.

The club usually holds 30 race meets per year. Approximately eight races are run per meet.
